Printful is built for people who already have — or want — a storefront somewhere else. It is widely used as a fulfillment layer: you upload or place a design, connect a shop, and Printful prints and ships after an order. If you run Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce, or another catalog-heavy operation, that model is the point.
Printful also offers a broad product catalog and extras that matter to established brands, including warehousing and packing options that a print company would care about. Those are real strengths. If you need a POD engine plugged into an existing ecommerce stack, Printful sits in that category for a reason.
This page is not a takedown. Printful and MRCH are aimed at different jobs. One helps you fulfill. The other helps you design, price, and sell without assembling a separate store. Printful’s mockup and placement tools exist so you can put a file on a product; they are not a phone-first AI merch studio with a shop attached.
